From Shake Rag, Tennessee to Barney & Friends to a degree in Accounting, Myla Smith doesn’t fit any preconceived notions you have about singer-songwriters (okay, except the Shake Rag part), but if there’s anything we know in Memphis, it’s that you just never can tell. Myla’s spent the last decade winning hearts all over Memphis and beyond, with her latest release praised by Billboard and CMT. As the world gathers in our city to celebrate music from across the globe, we’ll be having Myla in May – a much more comfortable but no less powerful representation of Memphis’ musical contributions.

And as an added bonus, we’ll also be joined by Nashville duo The Harmaleighs, who’ve spent the last year logging miles and Spotify features as they prepare to celebrate the release of their new album, Hiraeth. The title is a Welsh word meaning “longing for a home,” so what better place to welcome their new project into the world?
